Firkser stands out because he's a polished receiver amongst a bunch of inconsistent young players.

Coach Vrabel appeared emotional while responding to a question about Jonnu. He doesn't say a whole lot about anyone , but it's clear that he loves Jonnu. I just hope that he's not constantly hurt .

I was pretty high on Firkser from preseason so I’ve paid a lot of attention to him when he’s on the field. He seems to have a good feel for when his route is busted and he’ll sneak into a soft spot. He kinda reminds me of Wycheck in that regard, but he fights for the ball like Walker, which is what I saw in preseason. He has caught every pass that he has been targeted with so far.

It sucks about Jonnu when he seemed like he might be putting things together but I am excited about Firkser getting more snaps and it may be a blessing in disguise if it leads to a more consistent offense.

Hes a subpar athlete for a pass catching TE, but he has great hands and ability to get open. Very pleased with him. Hes only 23. We we could have a solid duo with he and Jonnu for a while.

Where you getting that? Dude had semi pro hockey offers. He’s a helluva athlete. Harvard grad sitting for the actuarial exam(s). This dude is smart as well.

Was a really good basketball player, too.

The knock on him is that he's kinda small for a role player tight end.

This is wrong. I can never say a guy is a sub par athlete if he's on an active NFL roster and making positive contributions on game day. You have to be a solid athlete to make it on a NFL practice squad let alone actually playing in real games.

He’s 2 inches taller than Delanie. It’s not a blocking TE.

I’m not sure sure how it passes the eye test, but he’s listed as being basically the same size as Walker. Same height. Two pounds lighter. Haven’t really seen him a lot on running plays though. That could be telling.

The knock on Delanie was that he was too smaller.

I love Firkser. I'm just saying why he bounced around and we were able to get him.
