One of two things needs to happen in 2019. Either we change out two or three offensive linemen, or we pick-up another RB who's skill set can mitigate the lack of talent on the offensive line. I ask about potential RB's because its cheaper and easier to upgrade one position as apposed to three.

I haven't kept much of an eye on college RB's coming out, but assuming we finish the season with 8 to 10 wins we'll end up drafting in the 20 range, perfect position to consider taking the best RB.

Are there any college backs who's game resembles a quick twitch back like Alvin Kamara/Todd Gurley? Those are the types that would hide the O-Lines deficiencies. Henry is just too bulky and slow to hit his mark behind these linemen, and Lewis doesn't have the juice in him to be an every down RB 16 times a year. We need to upgrade the RB, everything in football is built around the run game.

The best free agent options at RB include Leveon Bell, Alex Collins, and Mark Ingram. The less than ideal ones are Jay Ajayi, Frank Gore, and Bilal Powell.

Should RB be priority No.1 this offseason?

This might be the weakest RB draft in the past 5 years. No one with a first round grade. There are a couple interesting guys, but I wouldnt take any before round 3. I've had my eye on Myles Gaskin from Washington in the 4th. If we want to go early RB. 2020 is the draft to do it.

easier said than done. Every linemen JR has added has spent his fair share of time holding the door open for pass rushers, But the RB's hes added have been better than the linemen IMO.

I think RB is the easier fix, those top 3 names I listed are enticing.

Im a big fan or Gore, but we'll just be having this same conversation in a year once he retires.

Is the problem with the O-line personnel or a combination of injuries and change in scheme? I think if we put any back behind our line with exception of Alvin Kamara/Todd Gurley why will have same result as Henry/Lewis

It should be number 1. That hand though is full of low cards. We need to look to the first two rounds of the draft.

The line is the first problem, Henry/Lewis is secondary so youre right to some extent. But looking at the contracts it would be easier to match a Kamara type to the line.

What we need is a guy whos between Henry and Lewis style wise. Henry is just too big and Lewis is too small. Theyre fine compliments however, but neither appears able to be THE GUY for a full season of football.

Josh Jacobs from Alabama looks like a Kamara type player. Not saying he's going to be Kamara, but he has a similar skill set of being able to catch the ball down the field, is elusive, has good enough size and pretty decent vision. Runs with solid power and balance too.

Bryce Love is the other guy I'd be interested in looking more at.

But these last 4 games need to be spent trying different things on the OL to see if we can get something going. That's still by far the most important thing that needs to be fixed.
