Totally different styles of play have a lot to do with these #s. I absolutely think mm8 is better than vy, but not mc9 at this point. Mc9 had an awesome d and eddie to rely on, which fisher took full advantage of. Mc9 was only unleased when the game was on the line, mm8 has had vrballz and whisenhunt who allowed him to actually play qb, which pads his #s slightly. A young mc9 with this current staff would be top 5 in mvp votes right now.

I was just joking around and pointing out some of the negative members...
Don't get me wrong, 100% I want to stick with him and believe he has not gotten a fair ride here. It is very difficult for a young QB to develop when he's had 3 different head coaches and offensive playbooks in 4 years, just no consistency. He has proven he can lead the team to wins regardless of the issues and it says a lot to me.

I agree with you but Marcus isn’t without fault. These guys in here have a valid reason to doubt and to be frustrated with him. He needs to reign it in and be the guy fans like you and me think he is. And coaches need to their job in putting him positions to be successful.

Except for Q4 comebacks and redzone efficiency.

other than missing more games than a franchise QB should/can I have zero overall complaints about MM8 at this point in his career

Titans would be foolish NOT to lock MM8 down IMO

to difficult to find an average NFL QB much less one that appears to want to be the best and is willing to work for it.

as for the staff... better to get it right than ride with a losers... Munchak/Wizinator/Mularkey... not gonna get it done long term.

all hired & fired for different reasons... glad all gone

will not sing any sad songs about MM8 situation... almost all players experience this in the NFL. Rare to have an Evil Empire situation... very rare.

Possibly Robinson/Vrabel will be around for a couple of decades producing Championships. Because otherwise there will be changes in the front office and staff

Does red zone efficiency even matter when he’s on the bottom of total tds thrown every year

The proof's in the pudding. Steve is was and will always be king in my book. Marcus' numbers speak for themselves but what those numbers don't show are the intangibles. There was nothing in this world that would have kept Steve off the field. VY was a baller who just won games, he didn't impress and he won ugly but he was a winner.

VY had the least to work with. WRs were always trash, TEs were trash and I still think we were robbed of seeing what VY and CJ could do together.

I want Marcus to excel as much as anyone but I can't sit here and say that he is that much better than VY or Steve. His numbers are better but he's also had more to work with and coaches trying to coddle/cater to him.
