Delanie Walker Likely Out For Season

Would still be better than lewans stupid mustache hand tattoo.

 

Need to put him in shotgun if hes without Walker Lewan and Conk. That buys him an extra 1/2 second

 

That, or borrow Pekka Rinne's goalie-gear and line up in jumbo sets every snap.

 

Doing this all game is probably the way to go for a bit.

Can't replace DW but I hope Smith is ready for the task. This is why he was drafted and I think he showed flashes of talent last year. Just need to see a whole lot more. Stocker is getting a gift opportunity that he really hasn't earned to be #2 TE even and Firsker clearly impressed the right people in preseason, hopefully that pays off.
Davis and the WR crew need to help Mariota out here.

 

An absolutely crushing blow but I'm not writing off DW. This isn't it for him. He's in freakishly good shape for his age. I'm not betting against him. He won't go out like this..

As for the rest of the season, I have faith in Matt LaFleur's ability to find ways to minimize this blow

 

I have taken Delanie's injury harder than any other I've ever been through. It's because the offense runs through him. It's possible we would be better off if Marcus went down - I know that's a big statement - but Delanie was the most reliable player on offense by far, if not the entire team. Someone said on the Zone today that 22% of all of the passes Titans QBs have thrown since he was on the team, have gone to Delanie. That's not counting plays where he wasn't on the field!

Saturday was rough, but Delanie's injury was by far the worst part to me. We are at least a year away from being able to see him play meaningful football again, and it's not a given he will even be his old self again.

The only good I can see that can come out of this is that players like Corey Davis, Jonnu Smith and Taywan Taylor will have to grow up fast and fill a huge void that Delanie is leaving behind. But we could be in for a long year. I hate to say it, but we just are.

 

I thought we placed him on IR?

 

you are allowed to reactivate 1 person from IR per season in the NFL now, it may have even been increased to 2.... 1 for sure though
