This is clearly a case of addition by subtract. We lose out, Texans win with this signing.

I think Thomas will be big in this offense. The last thing we needed was for the Texans to get someone like Thomas. I know, I know he's aging, but he's clearly serviceable as a #2 next to a Top 3 WR AKA Hopkins.

Happy we didn't make this trade. Thomas simply isn't an upper echelon receiver at this stage in his career. He'd certainly help us out sure, but I wouldn't have spent a 4th on him and that contract.

We don’t need to be fighting with a division rival this season for WR’s at the deadline. I wouldn’t be excited about making a trade that could possibly just get us a wild card spot. Let our young players finish the season and keep our picks.
