Why Is Nick Williams On The Roster?

Im a coach and have been for 8 years now. I coach travel soccer teams at the youth level ( ages 12-19). I would never, ever put up with a player that contributes so little, never. If you can't do what is needed/asked of you, then i don't need you on the field, period. If i coached at the pro level i would make sure this guy is gone as soon as the full time whistle blew. There is absolutely no reason he is here, he only hurts our team. We could cut him and not sign anyone and we'd be better off.

Cut him and bring in Dez. Mariota needs someone who can actually catch the damn ball .

 

I'm on the Dez trade, he'd pretty much be Eric decker which was fine while not spectacular

 

yeah they should cut Williams today.

He will be head case after a drop that bad and failing on his slant route. Mariota and the rest of the team doesn't need to have to manage that on top of everything else.

Cut his azz this AM. This makes JRob look bad to have such chitty WR help beyond our 3rd. And the Matthews implosion is no excuse. JRob is the GD GM who is supposed to be ahead of those type situations.

 

Batson and Hansen on PS. This guy Williams got the nod because of his "veteran" intangibles. Catching a "bread basket" ball and understanding your position on a route are the intangible skills that a veteran is supposed to bring to a team.

He needs to go this AM. A clear message should be sent regarding accountability. If not, the vallue of accountability does come in to question.
