Urban Meyer in Trouble? (#MeToo)

he lied only to the media, the school knew and even pulled the coach in question off the recruiting trail at the time (in 2015), but no charges were ever brought so he stayed. since then a messy divorce has followed

 

yeah no charges, just a restraining order and criminal trespass warning at 1:30 am

 

But I thought the wife called the cops? did she drop the charges or were they unsubstantiated?

 

dropped. she was pregnant at the time of the first incident. she says she was strongly pressured into dropping charges and giving another chance. multiple incidents were reported after. he also essentially confirmed and apologized for multiple abuse instances in text messages with her.

it's very common that abuse victims either don't report or don't follow through on criminal charges.

 

it was also confirmed that the wife had text conversations in 2015 with urban's wife regarding abuse from her husband

 

unsubstantiated, she apparently called the cops regularly when she was drunk accusing the husband of things

even her mother has come out in support of the guy

 

so why is it Myers problem? she is a grown up and made her decision as stupid as it was. the only "wrong" myers did was lied to the press. unless he is the president, I'm not really sure why that is a big deal.

 

well he apparently thought the allegations were bad enough that he fired the guy immediately when it became public

I wouldn't hire the guy. IF I KNEW he abused his wife but I also don't think Myer should lose his job for lying to the press. just my 2 cents.
