Pre-Game Thread Game 2: Texans @ Titans

Week 1 was about as bad of a clusterF that any rookie coach could have been thrown into and I think it'll make Vrabel a much better coach as a result. Watching him on the sideline makes me feel good about having him as our guy. Munchak always looked puzzled, Whisenhunt was a dipS and Mularkey never really got fired up or excited until the end of his run.

Vrabel appears to me to have that fire and really be passionate about what he's doing. I think we're in good hands. He knows we should have won that game and I expect him to be hungry to get that embarrassing taste out of his mouth against his old team.

I expect our D to clean up the weak tackling and come out stout against the run. Offense needs to open it up.

 

This week is just huge. First home opener, division rival, coming off a crushing loss. If MM8 can steer us to a win he will galvanise the fan base and build a huge amount of confidence in himself (and us). If he is unconvincing, injured etc we drop to 0-2 in the division and AFC and can see us free falling to 0-4. I feel sick at the thought.

 

it's really depressing knowing what that stadium used to be like.

 

If I were local and already paid for my tickets, I wouldn't let what happened week 1 keep me from going. I would expect that to give them fire to come out strong. Or at least that's what I'd tell myself to justify the cost lol.

 

The Mighty Titans will have their way with the puny texans. Mariota will come out on fire and without that ***** mother nature getting in his way, we will win with ease. Look for the bench players getting a lot of playing time in this one boys.

I can't remember feeling this bummed out before a game this early in the season

Texans dominate from start to finish. The titans will be lucky if we are even in this game at the half.

 

After a lackluster performance week 1, Watson goes off and the media then goes back to talking about him as an MVP candidate.
