Agree with this...still not sold on Henry here. I think that before the season ends D. Lewis gets more action than Henry, and next spring we will be looking RB in the draft again unfortunately.

Yep...said it in another thread. This is Mariota's make or break year IMO. I will keep an open mind this season though.

Yeah, we're trending for drafting a new QB and new RB and #1 WR. Geez, setting us back another 5 - 10 years again. Should have never hired Mularkey/Robiskie 2 years ago and my faith in Vrabel is slim

Agree with that...I get the sense that all of this (GM, HC, talent) is on a longer term plan again. Honestly I think that Vrabel can become a good HC, but he was not ready now (why I wanted us to retain LeBeau as a "mentor"...water under the bridge now though). Time will tell on that I guess. The key IMO is whether Vrabel realizes this sooner rather than later (Pride is one of the seven "deadlies" LOL.).

Ok, so after rewatching all the offensive plays on Sunday Ticket replay, I feel a little better about Mariota and the offense.

While not perfect, Mariota did actually play very well. Aside from the 2 passes he was a tic slow or behind and the 1 bad read that led to the INT, he looks to be improved and its apparent he has been working on his base and footwork.

The injury thing is the biggest issue by far. He cannot stay healthy and stay on the field, which hurts his consistency. He lacks durability and consistency. Will that ever change? Probably not.

The problem is not on the offensive side of the ball, it's clearly on the defensive side. Miami is not that good, folks. If you look at stats, they were horrible last year. HORRIBLE! The Titan defense is not your wonderful (keep me in the game) defense of last year. That quality went with their defensive coordinator. If you have a good defense, you don't go giving up 20+ points to a team like Miami. The defense obviously NOT GOOD!

On offense, there was terrible communication problems between Mariota and his receivers. A TD pass in the endzone should have been caught and that cost the TITANS 7 points. A running touchdown called back by a penalty cost the TITANS another 7 points. Titan receivers on their heals and not very aggressive cost another touchdown and interception. It was hot in Miami and not everybody came to play, but it was a game the Titans should have won by a couple touchdowns.

And just when you feel you've hit rock bottom, the Lions play and everything seems hopeful again.
