What are you running it on?

I am looking to get a new Mac, but for work need it to run AE as smooth as possible.

I've heard stories of Adobe not supporting multiple cores and $2,000 iMacs running it faster than $8,000 Mac Pros. I'd prefer to just go through apple, and not have to build with outside parts.

Anyone use AE, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and they all run seamlessly on their Macs? And what specs are you using?

    Thanks!

I have to say I'm not an expert but I know that in order to keep the design and size of the Macbook Pro 2018, they built in massive throttling of the Core i9 processor to stop it from overheating and be able to sell a massively overpriced laptop and say it had an i9.

They got caught out by tech channels and they say they fixed this but that is one thing I know off the top of my head.

We have had issues at my school, of course school systems usually buy the cheapest computer and system that will "do the job".

I use all of those apps running at the same time, but unfortunately, I can't tell you anything specific about apple specs. I'm on Windoze.

I will tell you that the single most important part of a system for this kind of work is the video card, but you probably already know that.
