Sorry, this is inaccurate and I stated earlier that he only made an impact in the final playoff game vs NE. There were no other games in which we can clearly say his performance was good or even average, he was very insignificant as a rookie.

We drafted a rookie WR coming off an injury.

Remember the old three year rule? That as a rule, wr don’t really make a big impact until year three? Davis has yet to begin his second year.

Not to mention, he was in a horrible passing offense, and is currently learning his second offense in one calendar year.

Yeah, the injuries suck. They happen. I don’t really buy “injury prone.” Injuries happen at random.

We have to be more patient than this. The man has played a little better than half a season. Let’s see what he can do in year two.

No one is writing him off and we all want him to be the baller we hoped we got at #5. We want him to be top alpha dog like AJ Green, D.Hopkins, Odell, Anotonio Brown etc. It would really suck if he gave a repeat of last season but I don't think he will and should be better. But until then, Rishard is the #1 WR.

Your right. We should have fired our coach for sucking at offense and developing players.

I don't want to ever talk or think about those fricken bozo clowns again! This new staff has me very excited for the season. We already saw us throw it in for a TD! Amazing!

i completely agree, but i just don't think being injured is something to hold against him, but i think coaching development also plays a huge part into it.

What you are describing is totally subjective. I'm suggesting to you to look at the body of his work. He is in his second year, with similar production AT THIS POINT as last year. There is no spin to that. It is what it is.

Again- I am personally not out on Davis. I think it takes 3 years to develop WR. Saying that, a #5 pick is expected to contribute immediately. Davis may pan out as a good WR, maybe even elite. But we haven't seen enough production to warrant that judgement- the same logic that you use to say it is too early to "give up" on somebody.

There is absolutely no denying, however, that we have received the production expected out of a #5 pick for a non QB.

this is reasonable. I would counter that a #5 pick shouldn't be used on a WR coming off an injury. A #5 pick is expected to contribute IMMEDIATELY unless its a QB. (and even that is changing in today's NFL)

Look at the guys selected in his class, not at other drafts. What exactly are you seeing? I see a lot of teams hoping for major improvement from their first round picks. It was a weak class.

"WRs take 3 years and shouldn't be selected high" is valid, but look at the big picture. Teams with good receivers don't ever let them sniff FA, and even average to above average ones are paid way more than they deserve in FA because the market is so bare. How else are we supposed to get a WR if we don't draft them? It's an absolutely essential position
