Ralph and Billy were on the most recent episode of Chris Hardwick's podcast (before his "scandal" broke). It's definitely worth a listen.

The ending definitely felt very rushed. That's my only complaint about the show. Miguel's character does like a complete 180 turn over the course of 2 episodes. And same for Johnny's son. I understand it was a short season but they still could've made that happen more organically.

I expect in season 2 Kreese will either oust Johnny and take over Cobra Kai or Johnny will just quit. Then join up with Daniel to train his son and Daniel's daughter to take on (and defeat) Miguel.

    RE end

It was very rushed, Miguel was still a sympathetic character. Especially with his (hot) working, immigrant, single mom and grandma cheering him on. It was cute to see them so excited and proud of him. Probably his only real achievement in life. It was really cool, especially for a woman who sacrificed so much for Miguel.

Miguel did not deserve to be turned into an ass. I was also disappointed Aisha did not stick up for Miguel with Sam. Aisha could have been like "Hey, I was with him all day, I saw how upset he was, blah blah"

And when Aisha gave that one girl a frontal wedgie -- HOT

it is also not a coincidence that Yas is a dead ringer for Rachel McAdams in Mean Girls.

    RE season 2

I think they will try and humanize John Kreese, show some shades of gray. Much like they did at the start of Karate Kid 3. I can also see Daniel being led down a "Dark path" now that he does not have Mister Myagi to keep him in line anymore. Maybe even lose his family as his hot wife (I think she also played Sheldon's sister) and daughter in the process.

If you have not seen KK 3 then check it out. Then you will understand why the tournament board asked Johnny "What is your relationship to Terry Silver?"

I didn't think he was sympathetic at all those last few episodes. Basically turned into a complete *******. They just went a bit too far with it imo. They could've morphed him into the "villain" without making him a total caricature/stereotype.

It is just too bad they did it. Miguel was another Daniel.

Yeah it was very bizarre and unexpected. I guess they figured they didn't want it to play out exactly like Karate Kid, which is understandable.

Yeah, it is understandable. Like when

Robby hurt his shoulder. I was thinking "They better not have Daniel do a special massage on him."

Then Daniel claps his hands together, and calls for the medic. It was perfect lol.

I called Robbie was gonna hit that special kick and beat Miguel with it a few episodes before the finale. Was surprised that wasn't how they ended it. I'll give em this.... they didn't follow the easy narrative path.

Oh yeah, I knew that was going to happen with him
And I had a strong feeling Robby would not win, given how the show was progressing. Also knowing season 2 had been signed and they need to set it up.
