I wanted Hunter Henry the TE and he was still there at the Dudd pick. He's already had 1000+ rec. yards and 12 TD's.

Yes, we did, and most of them were let go after the draft if I recall correctly

 

Honestly while he is on his rookie deal; I think it's cheaper to keep him than to cut him.... I could be wrong. However, I think cutting a guy on a rookie deal ultimately costs more than you would gain... He was hurt 1yr... Was unproductive 1yr and now has a new HC. I do not think he will turn the corner, but w/ no gain from cutting him; may as well let him try.... Unless we find a way better use of the roster spot. I think he is going to end up as a wasted 2nd round pick. However, you got to hope Vrabel gets something out of him.

 

Yes. That is true and that’s why I give JRob a bit slack on the Dodd pick. But busting a #33 overall pick is irresponsible and JRob was wearing the GM hat on that pick so he doesn’t get off completely free.

The fall guy was Lake somebody that was canned.

 

You must mean Webster. Still, don't defend JRob on that pick EVERYONE saw a mile away except blinded Homers.

 

If that's the case, Lake gets a ton of credit for Conk and Byard.

 

If we're blaming the old scout team for the dodd pick, we've gotta give them credit for conklin and byard too. Same draft.

 

This year is Dodd's last if he shows no improvement.

Some picks are group picks, some are GM picks, and some are HC picks.

Very hard to know who was picked by who unless they come out with it down the road

All we know for sure is Dodd doesnt fit the profile of a JR pick, only 1 year of production.
