Kevin Dodd is...

Just a case of which piece is bigger

 

The one thing we have going for us with Dodd is the new coaching staff coming in. He has GOT to realize if he doesn't show something immediately, this coaching staff should have no issue moving on from him. Oughta light a fire under him to make a bigger effort and, hopefully, a bigger impact.

 

He'll likely come on this year and be at least decent. The new Karl Klug.

Is it too late to bring up the inevitable "we should trade him while he still has unknown value" argument?

This guy has no business on the team anymore after a year's worth of healthy scratches despite some of the guys that saw the field. Even at an inexpensive price tag, he's overpaid.
I don't really know where this "depth" idea even comes in. He wasn't a depth player last year when we didn't address LB, why would he be this year?

 

I'm not expecting him to figure it out. That said, TC isn't even close to starting. Cutting him now would be stupid. Let the new staff work with him and see what they have. If he doesn't make the final 53, that's fine. But he's only heading into his 3rd year after 1 written off to injuries and the other being a poor year. Would be foolish not to give him a chance at the least. JR saw something in him to pull the trigger at 33.

 

He's made 4 mil already...not bad for doing nothing

 

Don't forget the "we should trade him for Eric Berry" argument...
