2019 NFL Draft is probably coming to Nashville (now official)

I have been saying for a long time...

do away with PS

make season 20 weeks with 2 byes & 18 games

expand roster for first 4 games and allow them to play in the damn games like in PS. This way the HC/FO can do their evaluations and the fans get to see NFL level football for their time/money.

 

To each his own, but I just don't understand how this can be someones favorite sporting event when no sports are actually played? I usually watch the first 10 picks then the titans picks, but its beyond boring to me other than that.

 

Being from the southern hemisphere where no leagues really have a draft system, I find the whole concept fascinating so I do enjoy it and watch where possible. That said, I wouldnt watch past the 2nd round and I wouldnt put it in my top 5 or even 10 sporting events!

 

It’s my favorite event from a geek standpoint. I love to see how different teams try to get better, etc.

The coverage of it sucks now. There is no football coverage or film breakdown. It’s all a red carpet love fest now.

 

For some reason the 2 byes dont work

Used to have 2 byes, then they changed it to 1 for some reason

 

I would say this if it means the regular season starts earlier in August and not the first of September.

 

Definitely waiting for the word - but almost sounds like set in stone...

And if that's the case - me and buddy will be making a trip next year down for it.

I watch live on ESPN, record NFL Network and immediately after it's over, go watch the entire thing on NFL Network. I usually take Friday off, play a round of golf, and go back home and rewatch the highlights before rounds 2-3 on Friday night. It's the only football we get until August!
