Just got back. It was a lot of fun. Unfortunately yet another terrible theater experience. But I digress.

It was indeed pretty emotional for a MCU movie. I applaud them for having the balls to do that ending. Even though....

...it's all just gonna end up reversed somehow in the near future. But still, pretty crazy how they wiped out some of the most popular heroes like BP and Spidey. I was expecting a big death in the film, but I honestly thought it was gonna be Stark or Captain. Was pretty shocked to see them both survive the big wipeout.

I think they are saving the big permanent deaths for the Avengers 4 which is obviously the conclusion.

My theater experience was awesome. Saw it opening night in IMAX, it was packed. Nerds in costumes.

The crowd went wild when Captain America appeared and caught alien chick's spear. Like loud cheers.
Towards the end when Thor arrived in Wakanda for the final battle with rabbit and tree there were people standing and cheering.

Then when Thor threw the axe into Thanos chest it was the loudest cheers.

Then.... There were a lot of audible gasps when the true ending started and when the final shot on Thanos smiling went to black and the credits rolled people were obviously disturbed. A ton of loud WTF.

If was a lot of fun.

On a side note I can see this movie really ****ing with little kids. Especially Spidey fans like my boys... A friend went last night and said a kid started crying in his theater when Spidey ashed away.

I honestly thought when Loki and then Gamora died they were gonna cheap out and reverse all the deaths by the end of the movie. But they didn't. I also suspect there will be a couple of permanents deaths in the next one. But we know Spiderman, Dr Strange and Black Panther are coming back since they all have movies. Should have kept them alive to keep people guessing.[/spoilers]

So glad movies here don't do that ****. Laughs are fine, but cheering. **** off with that nonsense.

Movie was dead quiet at the end though.

Infinity War killed it and lived up to the hype and then some. I just hated that they practically benched Bucky Barnes. Like you said, I hope the deaths aren't reversible or it will just be lame af. As someone that is starting to get bored of comic book movies, this one did everything right, and I havent felt this many feels since the Dark Knight saga came to an end. I got your back, dude.

Edit* When I said it would be lame af to reverse the deaths, I meant the 4 “real” deaths. Obviously the evaporation deaths will be reversed.

Cheering nerds make the theater experience more enjoyable to me, these movies are supposed to be mindless fun and not taken seriously.

I'm tired of most superhero movies.

Like the Fox X-Men stuff is boring.

The DC stuff is awful. I couldn't even finish Justice League.

The Marvel stuff keeps changing things up and keeps fresh.

Like there is no reason for Thor 3 to have been as good as it was after Thor 2 was ehh. It had a completely different tone and reinvented the character which carried over into Infinity War.

Now Thor is one of the best characters in the MCU.

Black Panther was like nothing we've ever seen on film. Loved it. The last two years Marvel has killed it and I'll admit before Guardians 2, Civil War, Homecoming and Ragnarok I was beginning to fall asleep at the wheel but BAM, they changed everything up and made it fresh again.
