CRUDS THOUGHTS ON NEW UNIFORMS
(Cuz you really want to know)

Helmet - major improvement. Always wanted this. The thumbtack is fine and I like the uneven sword stripe.

Jerseys - Glad they are our team colors. I can live with the sword yoke.
Don't like the nonsensical color splotch under the arms. Go all the way to the bottom with that- or not at all.
Grey sword yoke over light blue looks f'n stupid.

Numbers - God do they suck. Total fail. Too skinny, too small, too weird and the outlines are was too narrow. They absolutely screwed this up.

Pants - Blah. I was a fan of the old bold traditional stripes. The little dashes will get old very quickly and they look totally absurd on the light blue pants. This is where they could have done something cool with the Greek key pattern, which of course they skipped entirely.


In summary, the new helmet will give enough of a boost to the all navy and navy over white set to be tolerable. White over white will be a decent look.
Pretty much any combo that includes the light blue pants will look gawdawful. The light blue jersey is almost as bad.
Anyone who thinks these numbers are improvement should stay away from the vodka. Seriously bad. They will become eye-sores very quickly.

 

It's a trend. Preds do the same with the music notes. Doesn't affect anything so need to worry about it.

 

We differ on the helmet but agree on the rest (except the numbers of course).

The sword goes front to back for the obvious reasons, duh.
A sword facing backwards = an honorable death in old Greek and Roman tradition.
Though we might feel like putting the swords in our own bellies after seeing these uniforms - it still makes sense why they point it point fwd.
