We need to attack FA this year

Nah to both of these.. The only WR's I would love to have on this roster next season is Paul Richardson or Michael Crabtree.

Richardson will demand a lot of money, reason why I can't seem him in Nashville next year. We need a WR, but it's not a position that's a high priority.

 

Been seeing some talk about Sammy Watkins being a good fit here. If we could get him on a 1 year prove it deal I would be all for it.

 

The Rams spent a high draft pick on Watkins should they shouldn't be keen on letting him walk. If they DO let him walk, that's not a good sign as I'm SURE McVay and LaFleur would be on the same page as to whether he's worth a big investment or not since he'd be going to the same offense.

I don't see Watkins coming here unless he wants too much from the Rams and loses his market and is forced late into a 1yr prove it deal. But I think that's pretty unlikely.

Also Watkins had some not nice things to say about Rob Moore once Moore left Buffalo after Watkins rookie year.

young, has gotten better and better each year, has shown hes durable, hes not a household name either so he wont break the bank to acquire, sounds like the ideal WR for JR to go for.

Heres the smart play; offer him the same kind of deal Matthews and Ryan got, 3 years for around $5M/yr. Front load the contract while we're swimming in extra money, that way we're not stuck should he fall off in a year or two. Think of a Tajea Sharpe with better wheels when talking about this kid. Thats not appealing to you?

I've always liked Richardson even at Colorado. Richardson is due for a serious breakout season.

Do I think he's elite? No. I think he made the best of his chances in a super conservative offense in Seattle.

Put Richardson on a team like the Saints, Raiders or Chargers and he instantly becomes a household name.

Pairing Richardson with Davis would give us a dynamic duo..
