I think the NT thing is overrated. Our Run D is fine.

If anything ILB is a bigger problem with it comes to run D.

There is a big difference between an average player who CAN be upgraded and a hole. The biggest 'hole' is at SS on D. Cyprien had some knockout shots in both the run and pass game, but he also got burned in both as well. He and the guys before him have been too inconsistent. Everywhere else we've been solid or better. Sure a dominant NT would be great, but so would a great MLB...and so would a dominant OLB...and so would a dominant CB...

Our needs will become obvious by who we re-sign, who we go after, and who we get in free agency. If Williamson leaves, we will need to take a ILB somewhere in the draft and most likely in rounds 1-3. If Kline leave and we replace him with no one...we probably draft a OG decently high. If we cut Searcy and Cyprien...we know what's coming.

If everyone's healthy, Ryan, Adoree and Sims are a very solid trio. Williamson and Woodyard with Brown spelling were very effective. Sylvester Williams and others did a better than solid job stopping the run. Orakpo and Morgan weren't as good, but better than their stats suggest.

We want to be solid at least every where so we can upgrade with the best player available at 25...whether it be Vea at NT, Bryan at DE, Evans at LB, one of the CB's falling to us, Christian Kirk at WR, Daniels, Price or Wynn at OG, etc.

GM's don't just look for this year's needs but what they'll need over the next few years. Not much depth behind Orakpo and Morgan. SS was spotty. ILB is very uncertain at the moment...and you can't have too many good cb's.

What happens with Decker will tell a lot about what we are looking at there in FA and the draft.

We should sign a vet backup as a rookie won't get enough reps to develop.

I really think they need to add a “shutdown” type corner with ideal size. Adoree is closing in on near legitimate “shutdown” grade but will still be challenged by larger receivers, I think.

I agree bringing Kline back is an acceptable and maybe even preferred option.

I agree mostly except with the need for a runningback. DeMarco has already proven he can do it all and adds team stability if retained. He has a known good personality for the team. I can’t be certain about that with others.

He's a nice guy and all but when you can't perform it's time to say goodbye

Murray just doesn't have the gears to play to the level we need him to. He's a versatile player but again, if you can't run then how can you hold a RB job in the NFL.....

Last year was the year for Murray to be used in a limited, 3rd down back role. I like him, he was great 2 seasons ago for us. But injuries and age have caught up with him, and he's $6.5m on the cap this year. They can find someone younger to play that role. Can't see the new staff wanting to have their second back a 30yo guy with injury issues.

I think this is a testimate to the job JR has done. The team is finally in a position where the roster is at least decent everywhere, and pretty good in a few spots. We can literally go BPA instead of need with nearly every pick, and benefit from it. That's what good teams and front offices do. The Titans just hadn't been able to because we had fools like Webster running the show.
