My opinion that he was good was fabricated by other people so that they could take unearned cheap shots. My defense of him has been the same as it is for the other young players- give them some time. But I stopped that after the beginning of this season when he looked so poor. Apparently my opinion that it's too soon to declare a player a bust after one season was interpreted as me saying that he would be an All-Pro.

I just don’t understand why you give a running back 3 years to prove his worth.

You have guys like Kamara, Hunt, Fornette constantly coming in as rookies, making their mark.

He isn’t a QB, learn to pick up a block and get on with it.

Gurley turned onto a completely different player in his 3rd year under a new coach. I'm not using this in defense of Henry, but it happens.

Yeah, but a lot of people were down on him during his second season for his individual effort and play. And he became a huge factor in the passing game this year, which he never was before.

Mark Ingram turned his game around after a few years too. Sometimes it takes some guys a little longer than others.

As for Dodd, I was in the "give him time" camp because I'm not willing to call someone a bust after one season, but I'm done with him now. He's done nothing at all, time to move on.

There is some truth to the criticism of Henry. I’ll give him some latitude because he was constantly run into a stacked box and not given many carries.

If I’m Vrabel, one of the first things on my to-do list is a come to Jesus meeting with Henry though.

Like, “look man, you have the talent to be something special. But you will do the following or get the hell off my team.

    1. Get tougher. You’re a big back. Quit dancing and hit a mother effer.

    2. Learn the playbook. Like now. Today. Mariota has too much to do at the line to help you line up properly.

    3. Show me you care about blocking and routes or you ride the pine.

If you can’t do those things, young backs are a dime a dozen, and I’ll get a couple.

Because I'm the one who keeps bumping this. I've hardly defended Dodd all season.

Me- "One missed second-round pick isn't a big deal"
You, Riverman, etc.-"You think Dodd is going to be an All-Pro?!!"

    Impressive reading comprehension.
