Titans hire Mike Vrabel as Head Coach

    You sure about that? Probably something along the lines of 2-14 next year, 2nd pick in the draft, going to take years to fix this mess, Mularkey was 10 times better. Leave anything out?

    Here's what I don't get... When we hired Mularkey we did a fake search then quickly hired him even tho no one else wanted him

    Now we hire vrabel. No one else was going to take him, why not just wait until after this weekend? Maybe jrobs style is fake searches then hiring someone you decided on before ever interviewing anyone.


    That being said i like the hire. Hope it pans out. I like that the players will love him.

    Eh, I don't really know what to think.

    I'm excited that it's not one of the same OK retreads...but he also has very little experience coaching in the NFL.

    We'll see who he brings in as assistants as that was the whole point of getting rid of Mularkey.

    Hopefully a better offense incoming anyway...

    What do you mean no one was going to take him? He was one of the most talked about HC candidates this off-season.
    From Peter King last week on why Vrabel was such a hot HC candidate:

    The former Patriots linebacker spent just one year as a coordinator with the Texans, and his unit didn’t perform particularly well. Still, he’s a prime candidate for a 2018 head coaching job. It’s his commanding presence, the Belichick connection—and the sense that if you want him, you’d better get him now

    I'm just happy that after Mularky finally brought this locker room together, Jrob wanted to keep that alive and specifically went with a "Leader of Men" coach who players love and fight for.
