Oh I agree with you. I think KC would be stupid to let him go. But for some reason the guy doesn't get any credit. Like I said originally, those are to big IFs. I just like the idea of Alex Smith helping mentor Mariota. They have a very similar game. Plus if/when MM misses time again, I would actually like to have a shot at winning that game.

Alex smith would be the ideal guy to take over for the Cardinals. Great move for both sides.

I just hope Jags stay away from Smith. If they land a guy like him, their going to win the division next year again and potenially be the #1 team in the AFC

I think it’s inevitable that the Jags are gonna upgrade from Bortles, just who that is is a mystery. They could make a run at Cousins, Bradford or via the draft. Coughlin is too smart to stand pat on their QB situation.

Yea that would suck for us. That is a Superbowl team with Alex Smith and Allen Robinson back.

In Gridiron Heights Tom Coughlin is seen talking to Kirk Cousins about playing for the Jags

Yea, it's normally a good idea to cut your best player and your you qbs favorite target. And morgan, why? When a team is light in a position group, it's not smart to cut a starter in that same position group. But, i could see some justifying moving on from morgan. But, delanie? This guy should be able to retire a titan, whenever that is. If we can get a top 10 pick for him cool.

Morgan is younger than Orakpo and arguable better. We are so thin there don’t see either one going this season. Their contracts are up in 2019 so then one might be gone.

This might have to be an agree to disagree thing because he is the 32nd highest paid Edge rusher according to OTC's Edge rusher rankings and I would say that Morgan is definatly in the top half of NFL starters. Guys who play good run defense and can still manage 5-9 sacks a year are valuable commodities in the NFL, especially ones that can play in either the 43 or 34.

Morgan is my number two extension canidate this year and should get another 3-4 years tacked onto his deal as we look to replace Orakpo across from him.
