    Why is he a hater for looking at the bigger picture? It was one game that may have altered the development of Mariota for the next 2-3 years. You can't be blind to that. It may not be the best time bringing this up. I think it is prob best that we focus on what this team is accomplishing right now. But best believe this issue needs to be addressed in the off season.

    Brady was well established before McDaniels was his OC. By the time McDaniels was named the OC, NE had already won 3 championships. Granted, he was the QB coach for 1 the last one of those 3, but I dont think McDaniels is really the reason behind Brady's success.

    Brady was game manager-ish for his first 3 super bowls. McDaniels started as the QB coach for Brady in 2004 and was there until 2008, and that's when Brady really started becoming one of the best QBs in the league. So I do think he had a lot to do with it. Mariota isn't in Brady's league. But he can make an offensive scheme and play designs that would benefit Mariota greatly.

    If you think that you have no idea what I was like during the game. I could not sit down and was literally screaming at my TV. I want to win no matter what. I think we'll be a better team and win more with McDaniels.

    The OP needs to change the title to simply "Winning, is it worth it". Using the past tense (was) means we stopped winning. Lets not use that till we get beat in the playoffs or end the season with a SB win and then the winning stops for a few months.

    I wouldnt really agree he was a game manager. He threw for over 3700 yards and 3600 twice after the first SB win. And keep in mind, that was back when the rules werent enforced like today with illegal hits and pass interference, so those #s are pretty good for the time period. He was 6th in the league in passing yards in 2003. I wouldnt consider that as a game manager.

    And Brady's #s blowing up was pretty much in lock step with everyone elses #s blowing up, plus, they of course added Moss which obviously helped his #s. And now they have Gronk, Cook, etc. He has much better receivers now than he did in his early years.
