8-4 a mirage according to the Washington Post...and me

8-4, 3-1 against teams with winning records, only one other team has a better record against teams with a winning record, but the Titans suck and haven't beaten anybody...

By that logic, only one team in the league is good. Or what's the threshold for how many decent teams a team has to beat before they're any good?

"Strength of schedule" means nothing when you're basing it off of last years teams. We are right up there with the top team at beating teams that are winning THIS year.

Oh, did I mention the Titans are winning?

 

Keep that statement in mind come playoffs.

 

My point was that anyone who was putting real money on a bet would bet on the Titans being one and done if they had to place that bet today.

It has nothing to do with whether you own season tickets or not. I was stating its not a mirage, we all see and know the problems this team is having.


You may not be excited about the playoffs but I know a few season ticket holders who are. I have a feeling if they win the first one, you will be a little more excited.

 

Eventually you figure out who's saying stuff just to get a rise out of you. I'm not sure a fake fan exists here. Why would you fake liking such a bad team for so long? Especially enough to sign up and talk about them every day.

I've seen you in chat seeming not happy with a win. You get grouped into the "complainers/emotional" group like I sometimes get grouped into the "sunshiners/blind" group. Truth is usually in the middle.

I didn't mean you say that you complained nonstop.

Nothing wrong with wanting improvement. Maybe it's the timing. When people do it a few minutes after a win, it really does come across as they are not enjoying it.

That may not be the case but that's what it seems like at times.

Let us sunshiners enjoy Sunday. You guys can have the rest of the week!


I don't see the offense getting it together. Too much is contributing to the problem. Im just hoping other teams beat the heck out of each other and we make it past round 1 and take advantage of it.

 

While I am happy with the 8-4, especially after suffering through the 2-3 win years. I even sat in the snow in NE back in '09 during that 59-0 embarrassment so I'll take this anyday over that.

But, anyone who has watched our games this year knows that we don't pass the eye test. We show flashes on offense and defense but overall we struggle every week to pull out wins agains lesser teams and we've been blown out by good teams. We don't have the feel of a true PO contender.

I said at the beginning of the season that we still need one more offseason to be real contenders but that we should make the POs and making the POs will be good experience for a young team.

With that said, as a fan of a team with an 8-4 record with PO asperations I shouldn't be fearful come Sunday against certain teams. While we should win against the Cards, I have a feeling that it will be a usual nail bitter that we could easily lose. It took OT to beat the Browns so we could very easily lay an egg against the 49rs too. I shouldnt have these concerns or fears if we are legitimate PO contenders.

And I doubt that we will beat the Rams and we usually split the Jags even when we they are horrible so we need the next two games against bottom feeder teams.

Hey Alz I completely understand where you're coming from. As a graduate assistant and then coach it's "on to the next one" and focusing on what needs cleaned up. That's my fault, just how I've been programmed. As a player it was great to celebrate immediately but the next film session was on the plane ride home, and we began to clean things up, only habit.

I'm very happy our Titans are winning, it just frustrates me because I can see the potential that all the "sunshiners" see without the production.

 

What a ****ing revelation! How did you ever figure that out?! And the rest of us were sitting here, not knowing anything after watching 12 games. You're our hero!
