Pass pro hasn’t been bad. Obviously they looked awful last week but I dont think they gave a sh-it about Cassel.

Plain truth. Cassel isn't keeping up with Brisset/Hilton. We drop to 2-4 and lose ANOTHER AFC game and ANOTHER AFCS game (especially at home) we're done for the playoffs.

Mularkey is going to ride this "free pass" Mariota injury excuse for as long as he can. AAS/Media/fans won't feel justified blasting Mularkey for losses when his #1 QB is not playing. Although GOOD HC'S are capable of putting together a win or at least fielding a competitive team.

Mularkey is what his W-L record states he is.

My beef with malarkey comes from the fact that the players utterly quit in the Texans game. Again. Just like last year’s jags game.

It doesn’t matter if he misses this week vs. the next 4-6 weeks. Lose this week and the season is pretty much over. In fact, if we lose this game, I hope we keep losing from there.

very aggresive for someone who might be in over their head. I hate having to pull out evidence but here you go

2016 WRs - Laquon Treadwell, Josh Doctson, Corey Coleman, Will Fuller

2015 WRs - Amari Cooper is great, but followed by Nelson Agholor, Kevin White, DeVante is decent, Breshard Perriman, Phillip Dorsett

i'd take Corey Davis over everyone i just named except for Amari Cooper.

Defensively the last 2 years -

2015 - Leonard Williams, Vic Beasley, Shaq Thompson, Marcus Peters, Arik Armstrad

2016 - Joey Bosa, Jalen Ramsey, DeForest Buckner, Leonard Floyd, Karl Joseph, Keanu Neal, Kenny Clark, Vernon Hargreaves

So i think its safe to say its easier to draft defense, than draft a TRUE #1 WR. Im not on the "JROB IS GM OF YEAR" train, but you're being very critical of someone who is responsible for more good picks than bad.

Done for the playoffs? I don't know about that. The division is winnable even if we lose Monday night imo.

If Cassel plays we lose by double digits.

If Mariota plays we lose by single digits.

I hate to sound like a broken record but our division knows exactly what they are going to get when they play us. There will be no surprises, no changes in our defense or offense. As a result we really won't be competitive. Same run first offense: first and second down, which will be stuffed by the Dolts because they know what is coming. Same on defense, soft zone with TY running all over the field uncovered.

I have an idea! How bout we run some no huddle. Come out on the second series and run hurry up, mix it up a bit. Throw some play action on first down. How bout we play some man on TY Hilton and jam their receivers off the line? Nah, same old Titans why? The collective age of our head coach and coordinators is 197! Sometimes age is really good in coaching, I mean these guys know a lot of football, which I don't dispute at all. The problem is the NFL is constantly changing. Older coaches are set in their ways and sadly, in our case, are being left behind.

We just can't be so rigid in our approach, this is why we lose the way we do. The way to approach a game plan is to attack the weaknesses in the opponents offense and defense. We just don't do that. We get it, they want to be a physical team, a tough team. Mularkey sounds like a broken record, the world gets it. Running the ball does not make you a physical team, it makes you a predictable one. Some players are tough, and physical, some aren't. Schemes do not dictate physicality. For example our defense is supposed to be tough right, I mean thats what Mularkey preaches. I don't see anything tough or physical about our defense, quite the contrary I think they play soft and scared. They never challenge receivers, they just play soft and give up long drive after long drive.

Until we move on from this staff nothing is going to change.

I actually don't think they quit in either game

I think we got our butts handed to us by Houston because they had an excellent gameplan and we had a poor one

Jax was riding the wave of a new coach (like all teams do for their interim coach, especially in the 1st game) + pride of us beating their butts badly earlier in the year

These aren't excuses, but I strongly disagree that the team "quit"

I've seen this team quit plenty of teams in years past

    This wasn't quitting

I don't think the reasoning in holding him out is an excuse to cover their a$$ for losses.

You talk about our predictable run 1st offense that we need to change...do you realize against the Fins in the 1st half we only ran the ball to a RB on 3 1st down plays....while we threw the ball on 9 1st down plays and ran 2 runs to WRs.

We did try to change things up and it didn't work so well....except on the Walker TD that was called back.
