where is the NFLPA on out of bounds launching hits to defenseless QBs?

Can't wait to see if Danny Trevathan gets fined for that shot he put on DeVante Adams last night, in the field of play, before the whistle.

 

I didn't think the hit was all that terrible tbh. Flag-worthy obviously, as Flota was OOB. But when you watch it in slow-mo it looked to me like Sherman was actually trying to lead with his shoulder and their helmets collided.

I think everyone just overreacting because A) it was on our QB, which is understandable... and B) they hate Richard Sherman, which is also understandable.

Like I said, I'm totally cool with the flag. That's an easy call. I'm just not convinced it really warranted a fine. Flota was a runner at that point. If that had been Harry Douglas he did that to no one really gives a flip and there's no crying about a fine. All I'm saying.

I wouldn't care who it was or even if it was another team...Dude had someone hanging on him and multiple steps out of bounds...He wasn't positioning or continuing the play...It was clear as day...Sherman angled and hit. Maybe he tried to lead with his shoulder, sure...but it doesn't change the fact it was intentional long after he knew the play wasn't going anywhere.

 

Sherman's hit was intended to send a message and almost knocked Mariflota out of the game. Couldn't be more clear than that, especially after the fact he was just rung up by the officials, that should provide clear "intent". His emotions were clearly uncontrollable and it lead to him trying to injure a QB.

Like I said earlier, if that doesn't deserve a fine, nothing does. There should be no more fines period in the NFL if this is justified.

Goodell sucks balls...and Sherman deserved more consequence. The NFL always protects its "stars" though. Had that been Brady or Rodgers, I bet we are singing a different tune.
