Onside kick

after viewing a replay from the opposite side I was wrong...

Titans did not have a recovery chance prior to Raiders touching the ball

 

could have lit up the guy that recovered...but the T1T-an pussied out.

 

Franky on 104.5 said it best, you don't go for an onside kick 1st play of a game to a team that traveled from the west coast. Them getting it boosted their confidence and killed ours right out of the gate. If we had kicked it and stopped them the 1st drive I think this game might of ended differently. I know, a lot of ifs.

 

Is Mularkey calling the plays for offense or is Robiskie?
I'd assume it was all malarkey for the onside kick. If it had worked, would anyone here be calling him a genius? I doubt it, but I think we may be seeing some "good call" posts.

 

While I agree that this was not the sole reason we lost yesterday.....

I was out of TV/internet range yesterday, but was listening to this on my Sirius App. I distinctly recall thinking the term "Amateur Hour" when I heard this.

What it told me (and probably the Raiders) was that we thought that they had the better team and needed to resort to gimmicks here.

Outplayed and outcoached are good terms to describe yesterday IMO.

Yeah, I thought this gave a poor message from the coaching staff. It screams "we don't think we can beat you". They may have driven down the field anyway. But there is also a chance we end up holding them to a field goal. Spotting them 30 yards to start the game was just dumb.

 

remember when fishface went for like 3 or 4 against the colts...don't remember year...he basically said they were so much better ... only chance to win was to keep it out of pantie boi's hands.

 

players, LIKE La grasa fisted uno (my spanish term for Fatass), got paid, they don't care...they like that mulsuky doesn't hold them accountable.

 

Oh yeah...remember that specifically (2004 I believe). I watched that game from sports bar in Brookfield, WI, with my McNair gear on, and was embarrassed to be wearing it at that time. Complete and utter amateur hour back then as well LOL.
