Band of Brothers (series but whatever. Still good)

    The Pianist

    Full Metal Jacket

    Glory

    Hacksaw Ridge

    Platoon

    Schindlers List

The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas (War related)

Alls Quiet on the Western Front (but it's old)

    The Patriot

The Last Samauri (Not so much for the acting but the beautiful scenes)

Because it's not here, nor the future.

It's long ago in a galaxy far, far away...

The Last Samurai... great movie, so I don't fully agree with your assessment.

Don't get me wrong. Acting was fine. It was just visually stunning. It's what I remember the most. (except how Tom Cruise actually didn't look stupid as a Samuri) Great movie. I just remembered so many scenes where I wished I could visit.

I like movies set in oriental areas. I like seeing places I'll never see.

Tom Cruise wasn't a Samurai, though. He just wore the armor.

Ken Watanabe is the title character, technically. Though, could be plural and refer to all of them.
