Thank God We Didn't Trade Down

    Jrob sounded pretty confident in taking Davis at 5. From the sounds of it, he was more interested in moving down at 18 but nothing worthwhile developed so they took a player they really liked.

    Hard to say what woulda, coulda, shoulda happened... But so far, I think the picks were solid so I'm good with not trading.

    You mean what if we took two injury prone players instead of staying where we were and getting the top WR in the draft?

    This morning I heard the perfect analogy for what the Bears did:

    It's like when you go to the supermarket and the little old lady with the shower cap is giving out free samples, and you insist on giving her $100.

    Even if that trade did not happen it would have been foolish for us to trade down unless someone was willing to give us way more that it would be worth. No way we would have gotten Davis at 12.
