    I guarantee its Howard at 5. If you don't think a 6'5" 255lb TE who can block and run a 4.51 40 isn't a perfect fit for this team you are clueless.

    I will be ecstatic if they are. More so Lattimore but still. That means most likely Garret went number one so either a guy I really like fell to us or we should be Fielding calls on QBs/Fournette for a trade down.

    howard is a reach in the deepest TE draft ever.... trade back and then get Booty in the 3rd

    I bet the Lions, 49ers, and Browns GM all said the same thing when they reached for their top 10 TEs.

    Times have changed a little bit since 2004-2006. Ebron is a horrible comp for Howard. History is not always an indicator of how the future will pan out. You evaluate each year independent of past years.

    That being said, Ebron was said to be the most dynamic TE to come out since pre-injury Kellen Winslow.

    But being that Mularkey seems to use his TEs much more effectively, I agree with you about Howard being a special situation
