Myles Jack and Reggie Ragland dropped to the 2nd rd for things not of their doing... it is not farfetch'd to suggest he falls to the second rd due to a stupid choice ENTIRELY OF HIS DOING....

It'd be one thing if this was all it was ---- but there's like four things.... His shoulder, argument at combine, his childhood friends, and now this

Could you imagine the size of the chip on this dudes shoulder if he fell to the 2nd round? He might literally kill someone on the football field!

I agree - but it's a chip he created... There isn't a bigger red flag (literally) in this draft --- and maybe even the last TWO drafts.....

Look at Tunsil. His picture with a face mask cost him millions and he completed the combine and passed his drug test. When a team invests so much in an athlete this is the kind of issue that will change a teams draft board. No smart GM wants to assume any known risks with a first round pick.

I disagree. Nobody has still seen Jaylon Smith run yet. Reuben Foster may have failed a drug test, dude can still play football tho.

I agree that Jaylon Smith was a huge risk (albeit in the 2nd at least). I'm not sure anyone would have taken him in round 2. Round 3, plenty would gamble on him but he's probably either a homerun or he can't play anymore. But he didn't choose to get injured. And it's a coin toss as to whether he fully recovers or not! Cowboys could get a top 5 player at pick 34 by waiting a year. Or they get nothing for a top of the 2nd round pick!

Foster chose to have a tantrum waiting for the biggest job interview of his life (combine), then failed the only test everyone can easily pass. Shows a serious lack of judegment/discipline. And now not only do you have to worry about him now being in the system and whether his off the field judgement won't keep him off the field (Josh Gordon comes to mind), but what was he hiding? Was he truthful and made one of the biggest dumb mistakes you can make, or was he masking something. Marijuana or something far more serious and detrimental?

Going from one question mark to a slew of question marks is how you move down the draft board, not up it. And if he's messing up the biggest opportunity of his life (to make millions of dollars to play a game), what happens AFTER you give him millions of dollars?

On the other hand, the Titans brought him in for a visit. I find it hard to believe they didn't know about the diluted urine sample prior to that.

Look man, I get it, Foster made a giant mistake. I've said this many times, about many prospects who do this right before the draft. But a dude making a mistake is alot different than a guy who's knee will never be right again, period.

I'm not one of these guys that would rather choose a choirboy over a talented cat who got into a heated argument with a wanna be D1 ballplayer/male nurse at a combine med check.

Like i've said a hundred times about Foster, if there is one quality I look for most in my MLB/ILB it's aggression. This team has lacked aggression for far too long, especially with all the pussies we currently have on D I'm sure it'll even itself out.

Question is, do you take either and if you do, what is their value?

I totally get what you're saying about Foster and to play that ferociously, something needs to be 'a little off.' But he's not quite as good as some think ON the field because he does get protected by Bama's amazing D and he's only 6' 225 lbs at MLB and already getting his shoulder done with a long history of stingers and at least a couple concussions. He's not Willias or Kuechly on the field but he is very fast, ferocious, and explosive.

Problem is, his poor judgement off the field is gonna cost him BEING on the field. We don't want a medical guy who can't play because of his chronic knee, but we also don't want a knucklehead who gets suspended for being stupid (IF that's the real reason he drank so much and it was a mistake). I posted the article about Trent Williams getting suspended during an important stretch and part of that was him just being stupid for missing tests which are counted as failed...and that's just for Marijuana.

Foster could be a great player...but he's not a sure thing right now due to a variety of factors. He's also in the program now so any other missed tests or diluted samples because I want to please the coaches will be a problem! And that's giving him ALL the benefit of doubt. There is the very real possibility he's hiding something else like PED's.

I'm not saying he isn't a good prospect, but someone might be tempted to take Reddick, Davis, or Cunningham over (or instead of him later on) him because they are worried about all the above nonsense. I think Foster will drop a bit (though even before this he was probably in the 5-20 range) but I don't see him falling out of round 1.

Is he Shane Ray or Randy Gregory in terms of getting drafted. Ray made a single mistake while Gregory made repeated mistakes. Where are they now?
