I voted Foster because in this draft with the depth at CB I see no reason to take one at #5. Now if we are sitting at #18 and both are on the board and we did not address CB with #5 then I would go with Lattimore

Foster has some significant issues.... SIGNIFICANT.

And ILB doesn't do anything compared to the CB for this team

Unless Lebeau is totally changing the focus of his defense the LBers have always played a much bigger roll than the CBs have in his zone blitz scheme.

I think we need to improve both positions.

I love Foster's play on the field, but I'm sure he has plenty of off field issues. It started way back in his high school days when his whole recruiting/college commitment stuff was very shady.

We ran man single high and grips of stunts for pressure. That zone blitz tho! *shrugs*

Sure we ran some cover 1, but the majority of the time we played zone. I don't know why you insist on acting like Lebeau's defense isn't primarily a zone scheme.

It might look like the outside CBs are playing man coverage as they get burned over and over again on the deep ball but their isn't much difference in man coverage vs. cover 3 when you are the CB covering the deep outside.

We got torn up by RBs and TEs because our Lbers couldn't handle their coverage responsibilities.

We need to improve both our ILBers and CBs.

Le sigh. Ask anyone who's watched any of the All22 of last season. We ran heavy man. Verts in man can look like C3 yes but again- we ran man. Believe what you want. Others will chime in and back me up.

Good Lawd! Have any of you actually seen Foster play?! The guy is a no brainer at 5. Best ILB in years.

There are plenty of teams which don't use LBs to cover TEs consistently.

We used our Safeties fwiw. Lots of the big nickel looks were to get a S in to cover a matchup problem, which often still ended up being a problem.
