if pass defense is such a problem for us, how in hell could there be no interest in Hooker? only the best pass defender in this draft. i'll just wait till draft day and see what happens.

Few reasons. Injuries, which I think would be a laughable concern considering how he's injured but it's possible.

Character, he doesn't seem to be a bad kid, but has had some depression/anxiety issues I believe. Plus he's talked about wanting to quit football. J-Rob seems like a guy that likes his players tougher and infatuated with football.

Lastly, he's not a typical safety in Dicks defense. Dick likes his safeties to rotate and be able to play deep or in the box. For Hooker who is a protypical FS, asking him to be a hybrid as opposed to someone like Adams is a tall order.

It sucks, because outside of maybe Garrett he is my favorite player in the draft and I think he could help us tremendously considering we get eaten up in center field, but it was expected from me.

Initially it was just the phrase "not even considered " that threw me back.

I mean, the thing is we only have 30 visits. We can't visit with everybody. If by some miracle he was to slip, I wouldn't say it's out of the question when the value is too good, but we certainly won't be drafting him at 5 without a visit, which means we're pretty much not drafting him. There's still a few visits left so it's possible, but it was unlikely to begin with and it's looking like it won't happen.

Now that Searcy has been restructured, it's looking less likely that Adams will be first on the Titan's board come 5 as well.

its so crazy , every week its like i want someone new. So many possibilities, just saw a mock with us taking Jonathan Allen . I'm like that could be pretty cool too. Cant wait till next Thursday man.

Yeah, this is the first time I've ever got to watch us have two first rounders, and with a draft this stacked it's pretty damn exciting.

Not gonna lie though, I still want who I want. lol But I've pretty much come to terms with us not getting Hooker so I'll be able to live with it on draft day. Still a lot of other great players in this draft I hope we can get.

Hey guys, for those of you into Xs and Os, here is an excellent film room evaluation video that I found of Malik Hooker. It does a great job of breaking down his talent/skillset and perfectly sums up why I'm so hung up on the guy and desperately want the Titans to draft him at #5.

And I know we don't need a FS as desperately as other positions, but I believe Hooker is a rare generational talent that you simply don't pass on! Our other needs can easily be filled elsewhere in the draft.

And, for those of you that are in love with Lattimore and would prefer him at #5, Brett has a great comment starting at 4:44 that perfectly sums up just how awesome of a talent Hooker is, even compared to those elite Buckeye CBs!

    Enjoy!

Jamal Adams and O.J. Howard are the only two other players in this draft that I'd be completely happy with the Titans taking at #5 and Brett does a terrific job of evaluating those two as well!
