    In that scenario I'd go hooker. A true CF type safety would help
    Out our CBs a lot. Then could take anCB at 18.

    Hooker is a better option for this team than Adams anyway. He at least offers something none of the other safeties on the roster don't, the ability to play centerfield.

    Wouldn't be surprised to see Foster fall to bottom of 1st maybe 2 like Myles Jack?

    Yes, I agree. I think Byard is capable of play SS for sure. Those 3 would give us 3 pretty different safeties. Could easily play them in 3 safety packages.

    This is an absolute death knell for me on him as a prospect. Couple those comments with the combine outburst- AND the whiteboard questions. Consider at 18 only.

    A player that needs a "comprehensive support network" from his agent? That not a good sign.

    @10ACTyrant care to comment?

    I would be really shocked if the Jags don't take a RB at #4. Either Fournette or Cook.......Whichever they value more. Coughlin is a guy who has always tried to have a good run game. Marrone wants to run the ball. Plus, they have to find a way to take some of the pressure off Bortles. He is a guy who could bounce back IF they find a way to make the offense not ALL about him. After watching Dallas take Zeke high in the 1st and still contend with a raw rookie at QB; I believe Jags will try to do the same. Except of course Bortles is not a rookie. His mechanics and throwing motion is bad. But he could get much better without having the entire offense flow through him.

    They have drafted heavy on defense for a couple of years. I really think they take Fournette. It just seems like a no brainer to me. However, they have thrown a curve ball before. I don't think anyone expected Bortles to be the 3rd overall pick the year he was drafted. Decent RBs can be had in later rounds for sure. However, a guy with the hype of Fournette does not come out every year. I honestly do not see him as the can't miss prospect many seem to think he will be...... He will be a good RB IMO. I just do not buy into the fact that he will single handily change the fate of a team. Not to the extent that Zeke had last year. I could & have been wrong before. He may indeed be the 2nd coming of A.P. Who knows..... If there is a team that needs a RB to be that big of an improvement for the team; it is the Jags IMO.

    I would be shocked if the Jags do something smart with their first round pick.

    Yea....... Got to give you that one.

    However, that team made it's biggest FA additions to the F.O. IMO. Coughlin is a no nonsense type of guy. He has never been an EVP before. It will be interesting to see if his hard-nosed approach works out; or drives a wedge between the F.O. and players.

    They went from one extreme to the other. They had Bradley who was a laid back, Players' Coach, and not disciplined at all. Now they have Marrone who is said to be more strict and direct. Add a hard-nosed EVP to the mix and the team is much more disciplined than it has ever been IMO. It could work in their favor; or blow up in their faces.......Should be interesting anyway it goes.
