Free Agency 2017

yeah well they spanked us last year when it counted. They scare me , fans of this team don't have the right to take anyone lightly. Truth is our nuts haven't dropped yet. Last year we won more games which is great but in some clutch times Marcus and the boys looked a little scared to me and i love Marcus and this team. Hopefully we keep progressing and get it right but the Jags who are supposedly the worst in our division are getting better and this division is really tightly matched. We better learn how to beat teams in our division. It aint gonna be easy . Our QB is coming off injury, our coaches (besides big Dick) aint the sharpest tools in the shed and so far we ain't done much in free agency. Looking forward to the draft and maybe a couple free agents but i really hope we don't backslide , i don't feel we will but i aint taking nothing lightly and the Jags violated us last year, don't forget that.

 

So?

 

There's a difference between taking nobody lightly and acting like the Jaguars have somehow become an unstoppable juggernaut over because they got two good FAs.

And while we were not as aggressive in FA as I hoped we would be we have gotten better thus far this season. Not even counting Ryan and Cypien, both of which are upgrades in our secondary, I can think of 2-3 early games where we lost because of our horrid ST play, most notably the first game in Houston where we gave them 10 points and lost by 7.

Not to mention we still have a draft on front of us in which we have two firsts and four picks inside the top 100.

So to sum it up O guess what I'm trying to say is: R-E-L-A-X.

 

nobody said the Jags are a juggernaut so you relax but they are getting better and WE are in no position to act like they're some sort of doormat. that doormat smashed our trip to the playoffs and sent our franchise QB home on a cart. I hope our team remembers that every time we take the field against those ba$&@rds.TitanUp

 

Oddly enough the Jags signed all those players last year for defense and the result was they had the 6th best defense in the league, 5th against the pass. They did pay up but they went from the 24th defense in 2015 to the 6th last year. If they land the right people offensively through the draft/have their offense start to click. With a 6th ranked defense and an offense that can score, we will be chasing them this coming year. We were more than a few ST players and 1 CB away from getting over the hump...so far it appears we dropped the ball this year, but only time will tell for sure.

Erik Walden, DE/OLB, Colts. Age: 32.



Erik Walden is probably a 1.5-star player, but I'm going to give him a write-up because he accumulated 11 sacks in 2016. Quite frankly, I've never seen a player be so lucky in his life. Walden lucked into most of his sacks, as he seldom put pressure on opposing quarterbacks. Walden is a mediocre backup at best, and he turns 32 in August, so he'll continue to regress.
