So, I will admit to NOT being a computer expert....this morning my laptop started doing this.... Watchdog stopcode....wtf....so anyways....the computer restarted and TOOK forever, or at least it seemed that way, so I did a manual restart myself....I try to run the software I wanted and it happens again....finally after the 3rd time I just let the computer take it's sweet time restarting and it seems to be fine. Anyone have any idea what that is about?
One of the most common is an SSD drive that has old firmware not supported by Windows . Another likely cause is an outdated driver for one of your hardware components. For example, if your sound card driver does not support Windows 8, simply plugging in a set of headphones could produce a DPC Watchdog Violationerror.
Thanks...I will try this later when I am home again....but like I said...it seems to have cured itself....
