Why isnt Lattimore a no brainer with the 5th pick?

Pre-combine mocking is just a futile exercise. There will be so many changes in the order and evaluations as the over thinking hits light speed.

Well who could say no after this

 

Probably due to his injury history, nagging hamstring that required surgery. First full year of playing.

 

and probably due to the fact that we haven't even addressed positions via Free Agency as well.

 

Lattimore is the beat CB out of this class (pre combine)

A pick of him could be easily justified at 5 if he's JROB's guy.

I don't want us to play Russian Roulette with our 2nd first trying to get him.... I doubt he makes it past Arizona....

 

Not many players get drafted top 5 who have played in so few games....hamstring injuries scare me. But the main reason you don't take him at #5 is that with the depth of the CB class in this draft we will be able to get a guy with similar skills at #18....use the depth to your advantage.

 

Let's:
A. Put it to a grade....
B. Suggest who we'd have to draft at 18 to land an A grade for the first round. (If less than A score)

I would say A- just because we haven't seen the combine yet.... unless something crazy happens like Adams, Hooker drop... WR at 18..
