Yea, edited my first post. He missed the last month and just had a general down year for him.
That does change my argument, but I still think Jeffery has a big upside or could help out taking some coverage off of Matthews.
Jeffery and Matthews together could be a good combo with Walker and Murray the receiving threat out of the back.
Health and discipline are still the catalyst on Jeffery.

He has big upside, but he's also going to come with a big price tag. For a guy who seems to be me first, and injury prone. I think a #1 will really help this offense, just not sure he's the guy.

If JR can get some quality secondary players in FA, I like using a first on a WR.

I read the info on Pryor being a "me first type guy", did not read or see anything on Jeffery in that department, very possible I just missed it. He is without a doubt an injury risk.
The price tag surely will be big, curious what options JR can put in a contract offer that doesn't guarantee Tennessee is on the hook for big money long term IF we don't keep him.
As I was saying before, I'm perfectly fine with JR passing him over completely, but I just think he is a talented WR and could be enough of a talent that the need to spend a 1st round pick on WR diminishes.

Lets look at last years free agents we added, lets see if any missed significant time, there could be a pattern JR likes to follow...

at this point we're talking about jeffery not being a legit 1 for us to pursue due to injuries, character, and lack of production once the bears offense was stripped down to just him

some say thats wrong so Ill just keep saying it til they give up

Ah okay thanks Brave...Yeah, I mean, Cutler sucks....Their team straight sucks, and they don't really have anyone next to him to draw serious attention, so he is easy to blanket or double team and keep at bay. I like Jeffery, but I truly don't want him. Injured, Not fast, etc...That's just my opinion though. I do think he will be better elsewhere if he gets healthy though.

IDK if he'll get better, but his numbers might. IMO he's peaked and on the way down
