I think the year Pryor just put up in Cle shows he is a capable #1. The second half of your issues is a big concern though. Need a TEAM guy, not a Keyshawn Johnson guy.

I'd be alright signing Jeffery provided the deal is easy to get out of if he's injured/suspended.
I also think D in the first round benefits this team more than taking a WR. A good D can allow for a different style playbook on offense which may allow our current WR's to perform at a higher level.
Last, I'd like to see Zay Jones get drafted in the 3rd/4th round.

we always say that, then a Rishard Matthews emerges out of the ashes somewhere, luckily this time it was us who won a bad WR Lottery last year

Big reward if he does stay healthy and not suspended. He's proven when on the field he can be a big target out there.
Don't get me wrong, I'd be ok taking a complete pass on him too.

Jeffery struggles when he's got to be THE GUY, hes a better Robin than he is Batman. If Matthews goes down and there is no threat on the other side keeping defenses honest Jeffery looks very pedestrian.

Plus he'll cost a lot in a weak WR market, is injury prone, pees dirty, and is slightly stupid. I want no part of that guy.

Not sure I agree with this, 2014, Jeffery had 85 catches, 1133 yards and 10 TD. The other WR were: Marc Mariani, Marques Wilson, Josh Morgan and Josh Bellamy and helped Jay Cutler have career highs in Comp % and TD passes.

Whatever #1 WR we sign/draft will need to be comfortable blocking and putting in an honest effort for 70% of the snaps. Ask yourself if you think Pryor, Jeffery, Jackson, etc. will be that guy, or if a drafted rookie is more likely to accept that responsibility and do it with enthusiasm.

I do like the idea of a 6'3", 225 pound, 22 year old Mike Williams accepting that duty and still being a huge gamebreaker for us. Give Mariota his best friend for the next decade. In FA, target secondary where it's available in abundance and in quality, also catering to LeBeau preferring experience over youth at D.

Umm hello, Brandon Marshall? Martellus Bennett?

Did you forget about those two monsters? Not to mention Matt Forte aka the best receiving RB around....

Bennett was there, Marshall was not in 2014.
EDIT: Scratch that, Marshall was there, just not the last month.
