Is it just me, or is this a bad crop of free agent WR this year?

I think its one of the best if Jeffrey and Pryor hit FA? the depth sucks tho.

Stud WRs never hit FA ever.

It is not like 10 years ago when half the league was in salary cap hell. Now, most guys who hit FA are guys their team do not want.

Just say NO! Jeffrey is not playing well and already is up to a 4 game suspension for PED's so his next one is a yr. And he gets banged up. Why do we want him again for $15+mill/yr? No thanks!

And Pryor has played WR for 1 yr. We don't even know if he'll become a #1 wr. And lots of his previous teammates calling him out...and USING their names? Not good!!!

No thank you. Lots of WR's in the draft!

I'd sign Jeffrey if it was a Michael Oher type deal, one that we can get out of easily after.

I would not. There is an opportunity cost to signing him. If we sign Jeffrey, we will not draft a wr in the top couple of rounds or worse. What do we do if right before the season Jeffrey gets a one yr suspension for PED again. Another year with no #1 WR and a big chunk of lost cap space. And it would still cost us more cap space to get rid of. Not what we want to be playing around with as we near having to pay Mariota.

I'd rather go defense than WR in the first round anyway

I don't necessary disagree just pointing out they're definitely better then the usually FAs like Sanu or Marvin Jones of last year.

I do like Jeffrey and Pryor but I also like some of the WRs in this draft class. I'd rather draft one myself as well.

I do think the money is better spent on other FAs. If Hightower hits FA I think he'd make an ideal scheme fit. Also of course we need a vet CB or two.

Russell Shepard would be a good one to sign for the bottom of the roster, to replace the overpaid Harry Douglas. He would be a decent number 4 or 5 and is great on special teams.

In terms of the type of WR's that normally hit FA, this class is pretty good. Top 20 receivers never hit the FA market.

As far as the Titans plan, I would pass on the top guys like Jeffery & Pryor but I would kick the tires on Robert Woods (To play slot receiver) & Patterson (Returning & another level to the exotic smashmouth O). Only at reasonable salaries though.
