F1 is as boring as Indy. On street courses it's just follow the leader. Just because they throw a ton of money at something doesn't make it more intelligent, just more expensive.

You are missing the point lol

I know they are endorsed, I am laughing at the fact they are endorsed by a trashy product.

When I was racing I would have taken Tampax as a sponsor. Without money you don't race, unless you are really wealthy. As the old saying goes by a racer, I was once a millionaire, now I am just well off.

I know, it is just funny is all. Having Monster as the title sponsor just adds to the trailer trash image.

    • Weight: 3,400 pounds
    • Wheelbase: 110 inches
    • Fuel Capacity: 17.5 gallons (most tracks)
    • Fuel Type: 110 octane unleaded fuel
    • Top Speed: 235 (Rusty Wallace ran 228 in a test at Talladega in 2004 and believes 235 was possible)
The Saturday series cars are actually 3500. My mistake.

    3400-3500 pounds in a stockcar.

F1 weighs less than half of that.

F1 cars are also designed for road courses while a stock car is designed to maintain high-speed over the course of 300 miles on a 36 degree incline.

INDY races on some of the same tracks.

    Look at Texas Motor Speedway

The fastest a stockcar has gone on that track is right at 200 in qualifying.

    INDY ran 225.

INDY is faster in race too at 185 compared to 160 for NASCAR.

Stock cars could certainly run faster. NASCAR won't let them.

They intend to keep racing close and competitive at 180 rather than letting the teams run 205 and spread out the field.

Bunches cars up, causes wrecks. People die

I think they all have their merits.

I used to LOVE Indy car racing when I was a kid. That was back before the IRL-CART split. Indy has not been the same since.

F1 has always been cool, fun to watch those little cars dart around. However, unless a lot has changed, F1 is a lot like the big Euro soccer leagues. It is dominated by a small number of very wealthy teams and leads to very little variety in terms of winners.
