2013 Draft AKA "The Lost Draft"

But he went to ALABAMMER, so he is great.

 

Yeah, once his contract runs out. Chance will not be resigned.

He will go on and underachieve somewhere else.

 

Another in a long line of Bama Busts.

 

The 2013 draft was pretty lacking in top talent....seriously look at the top 10 picks and how many of them have really been impact players...Fisher and Joekel were the top 2 picks and they have both struggled...then Dion Jordon total bust...Lane Johnson and Ziggy Ansah have played well, but have not been game changers...then you rnd out the top 10 with B. Mingo, J. Cooper, Tavon Austin, Dee Millner and Chance Warmack...that is a sad top 10

 

That is so awful. It blows my mind that one draft can be that bad, then you look at the 2011 draft that had 8 out of the top 11 picks perennial pro bowlers and some future HoFers.

Almost the entire first round of 2011 was great unless you picked a QB not named Newton.

Aldon Smith, Jake Locker, Blaine Gabbert, Christian Ponder, Nick Fairley, Corey Luigit, Adrian Clayborn, Phil Taylor, Danny Watkins, Anthony Costanzo, Jon Baldwin, Mark Ingram, Gabe Carmi, and Derek Sherwood.

Aldon Smith obviously had the talent and the ability to make an impact at the pro level. Sherrod and Claiborne had some nasty injuries.

Luigit and Ingram at least turned in to contributors.

 

I'm not willing to entirely write off Warmack at this point. He's progressed a bit, but he definitely is still a liability in the passing game. I really can't blame the team for drafting him though. He was supposed to be the safest pick of the draft, and he's clearly not transitioned properly. But hey, let's see how he does this year. I just don't want to see us overpay him at the end of the year just because he's better than the other options.

 

To be fair, Jonathan Cooper hasn't fared any better either. I think Warmack can absolutely salvage his career, and I'm really hoping this new scheme and renewed devotion to the running game with Murray will get him on track.

 

yeah and he's on his 3rd OL coach now. (if you can really count Bostad as an OL coach).
