He's insurance and not guaranteed to be on the roster come the regular season.

I thought he was okay at G but horrendous at RT. I expect Poutasi will get a look again at RT if the Titans don't draft Tunsil. If they do, I bet he gets the majority of work at LG in camp.

Bell is quality depth and will push whoever else we have in training camp. Im still 100% convinced we take an OT in round 1 or 2, especially with who the Titans have been linked to at these pro days, but at least we dont have a glaring hole that HAS to be filled immediately via the draft. Like the signing.

I would be shocked if Poutasi plays RT... Unless an emergency scenario arises.

Poutasi belongs at guard, and the sad thing is this was well documented before the draft. Poutasi was seen as a 7th round/UDFA guard prospect by most teams. We took him in the 3rd. Lol

Speaking of that type of piss poor evaluation... I have also heard on local radio that we had Jordy Nelson ranked as a UDFA. We thought Lavelle Hawkins was better.

    Typical Titans stuff.

I'd like to see Grimm interviewed soon about the current players. You know he's seen plenty of film. He's got a tough challenge ahead and would like to know if they have a plan.

The OL is going to be the most interesting position group to watch this pre-season, IMO. You have Jones at C or G, Warmack at one G spot, Lewan somewhere, Schwenke and Gallik competing for C/G and Bell.

Grimm has to find a way to get more out of Warmack and Lewan. Then, if they take Tuncil, has a LT to develop along with Poutasi.

If Poutasi sees 1 more snap at RT, everyone should be fired. Mularkey already said Poutasi is a Guard anyways.

RT is still a glaring hole. This doesn't change that.

I like this re-signing. Ideally, Bell is your swing OT and top reserve Guard as well. I liked Bell last season more than I thought he would. He wasn't terrible at Guard, but we need to do better in the starting 5. He had a nice mean streak to him. If for whatever reason we don't sign/draft a Guard, Bell can compete with Poutasi and Spain for the LG starting job.

Again, ideally Bell ends up a backup and he fits the bill for what Robinson & Mularkey want across the OL -- team first guys who can play multiple positions.

I said it then and Ill say it now we should have taken Collins and called his bluff about not playing in the NFL if he wasnt drafted in the top two rounds. Mariota/DGB/Collins would have been the best draft for our team in a long time.

I would agree with you at least in the supplemental. IIRC the police cleared him or made it clear he wasn't a suspect before the draft but for some reason (I would say teams wanted time to investigate themselves) no one grabbed him.

Actually, there was an interview with Grimm early on where he stated clearly he was NOT going to spend a lot of time reviewing last year's film and that players would have a clean slate with him and not be held accountable for last year. It did not seem to dawn on him reviewing skills regardless of blocking scheme or coaching might be a good use of his time. I flirted with incontenence when I read it.
