She did it just like her dad did with Munchak.

"Saw enough" after 2 sham interviews. she doesn't have enough experience to know a good HC without interviewing EVERYBODY reasonable.

Yeah I find that very annoying. I would have liked to have seen her at the press conference, even if she did not answer any question. Have any other owners not been in attendance to introduce a new HC and GM?

I can understand not loving to be in the public eye. But unfortunately for her it kinda comes with the territory of being a NFL owner. Whether she means it to or not, it makes her come off like a coward.

Absolutely NO EXCUSE to not perform DUE DILIGENCE on a HC hire. Anybody buying Adams and Underwoods spin -well- I just give up on y'all.

lets be real, she believes in mularkeys paycheck. She couldn't pay whiz and a top tier coach, so mularkeys cheap while they pay whiz for nothing.

I completely agree. There was no excuse. Or at least if they were so set on Mularkey they should at least have been honest enough to come right out and say "We simply believe in him and wanted to give him another shot." But to sit there and act like they conducted a thorough search/interview process is insulting to the fans' intelligence.

As for buying the spin, I'm not. And I don't think most people are. But at this point all you can really do is hope for the best or give up entirely. I already stopped financially supporting this team back in 2012. And while my apathy is at an all-time low I'm not ready to completely throw in the towel.

Unfortunately the NFL is all about the QB....if you don't have a good one you aren't going to win very often unless you just have an amazing defense.

Their is no denying that winning with Losman and Gabbert is nearly impossible.

Mularkey has no excuses now. If he wins he keeps his job. If he doesn't then he gets canned and our new GM (who is a football guy) gets to do the search for the next HC.

It obviously is not popular with the fans, but the most important step in our becoming a winning franchise again was to get a GM who can evaluate talent. That is why the FO spent more time on the GM search than the coaching search. Hopefully they found the right guy. Robinson is in no way connected to Mularkey. If the team doesn't win then Mularkey will get canned and Robinson hires the next coach after doing an exhaustive search.

The next most important step is for Mariota to develop and stay healthy.
