With us now reaching out to schedule interviews I do not understand not making a request to interview Hue Jackson. Maybe they see something we do not. I REALLY hope we are waiting to interview Bevell & McDaniels. I do not see a turn around behind any of the candidates they have interviews set up with right now. Especially Mularkey. I really do not understand why he would be a front runner with a 18-39 HC record; and the mess he just put on the field. Sure, everyone HOPES it's just a courtesy interview. I don't think that many see it that way.

I can possibly see the next GM sitting on the interview panel for the next HC, once they are in place they will want to bring in their own coaches over the next couple of seasons. I genuinely hope they create like a 5 year plan to turn the team around and the owners don't do like every other team and get rid after 1 or 2 seasons, its been 8 years since the Last playoffs so a few more seasons to get it right isn't going to make much difference.

I get the feeling that this is exactly what they're doing. Taking their time and feeling out all of the candidates, being thorough which I think is the best way to go about it. No more band aid GM and coaching hires. Bring in the right guys who will be able to work well together and we could finally have some stability in the FO.

Not only is it unnecessary to "rebuild" an NFL team, it isn't even feasible.

I'm talking a plan that is 3 years or longer.

Look at our cap room. The picks we have. Franchise QB. Why in Earth would we take 5 years to expect to win? It isn't that hard to turn a roster over in the NFL.

And aside from that, trying to take that long to rebuild a team is just going to make it fall apart on the back end.

I agree.. I want to be winning 10+ games in 2 years.. Next year, I expect to see 6-10 AT WORST.. shouldn't be difficult to win 3+ more games than this season. The year after, I expect to see another 3-4 win jump.

Most NFL contracts are shorter than 5 years. Your "plan" needs to include players that will be on the team when you get there right?
Mariota has a 4 year, with one season in the books. Titans need to be contenders within this contract.
I understand interviewing Mularkey and Austin now if both interviews are just for show. Marrone makes no sense without the GM in place.
This Mularkey malarkey is starting to feel like malarkey.

It's bad when you see Munchak pulling some guy's hair and you think "I kinda wish he was here instead of the current guy"..

Munchak showed more fire in that one sideline incident then he did in two years as our head coach.
