For the most part, we haven't done well with SEC players.

Williamson would be one exception, but Kentucky isn't really an SEC football team.

 

IDK where you got that nonsense from, but After QB a running game is the most important thing to have.

Im not saying you should blow your wad for a RB, but complimenting your QB with an elite RB is the quickest way to success.

There are little things you can do to hide an O-lines deficiencies.

• Dont run behind the weak link
• set your RB back an extra yard
• implement more multiple TE sets

you DO NOT have to invest a ton of attention and money into the OLine unit to get production from an elite RB like Henry. Hell, even Antonio Andrews looks ok using those little tricks, imagine an elite talent....

Overall its more about playcalling than any one player, I still think we could be ok with Andrews but his ceiling is like a C+/B- we should have higher standards...

 

I'm a Bama fan and I think Henry seems like a great teammate. He always plays hard, gives credit to the OLine. I don't know if his game translates well to the NFL. His biggest problem is, It takes him a few steps to get going and because of that he will get hit a lot for no gain in the NFL. He's sort of like trent Richardson in that aspect. I also don't think his speed is up to par. Sure he looks really fast in college, but again, so did Richardson. Taking my Bama hat off and putting my Titans hat on, there's no way I would want him any higher than the 3rd round.

What do you think grabbing Henry, or nearly any running back high in the first would be with this awful Oline? That would be "blowing your wad".

Until this line is fixed, or ag least consistent, a running back won't matter a whole lot.

 

How many games did you watch because before I actually broke Henry down snap by snap I had this same view towards him... It was debunked within 2 games vs NFL caliber players...

Him getting tangled up in our backfield is a legit concern tho, but we wont be employing this same cast of misfits next season.

This draft offers 2 NFL RB's, maybe 3 but either way its Henry then everyone else. Sounds a lot like Mariota when he came out last year.

Titans can take some nobody in the middle of the draft but it'll be for nothing. You cant get anywhere with a bunch of average players. At least the DB class has depth, we take a DB 1st ok then what..... Take the guy who can make the biggest difference.. Thats Henry.

 

No he wont, he's wrong to question Henry as a pro. He even said Henry isnt pro ready lol, that pretty much lost him this debate... Does Alabama play college football or NFL football in college? Theres a reason they dominate so often...
