How many of the previous four #2 picks have offsets in their contract? That's what is relevant.

I also love how Marcus needs to "show his character" in cave in to demands that no previous slotted #2 pick has had to cave on in their contract. The #3 picks from the last two drafts don't have offsets.

I agree with this part. The rest of what you said is pretty terrible, but this could happen from a hold out, although 4 years is a long time to hold a petty grudge over a franchise that you are the face of (if in fact he does succeed).

I don't think you understand how slotting works in CBA negotiations. What picks 3-32 decide has no relevance. What Jameis did by being the first #1 or #2 to have offsets is irrelevant, and has no bearing on Marcus' negotiations at all. The Titans aren't even saying that's the case, so now you're just making things up.
