It's important to keep in mind who is doing these "projections" though. Mike Mayock and Mel Kiper and whoever the hell runs WalterFootball have never run NFL teams before. They are just giving their opinions and typically they all piggyback off of each other. I'd bet most actual NFL team draft boards differ rather drastically from the "expert" projections.

Big wingspan means he should be able to manage RT if he can play G.

Projected by the guys who thought Jamarcus Russell would be a star, as @Alex1939 pointed out.

@onetontitan you should read what these guys are saying.

Please. Yet anyone these "talking heads" hype up- the coaches have a replica boner for.

Coaches/Scouts know jack sh** and prove it every year. They're no different than the idiots talking on ESPN.

No, the talking heads are just repeating what they hear from some other guy. Of course there are common thoughts about certain players, and the "talking heads" eat it up and act like they're reading a crystal ball. Yes, coaches, scouts, and GMs etc get it wrong...but that's because they're taking an educated guess. A gamble. Not just talking out of their ass like these "experts" that watch a few clips.

Which is why every year "top picks" slide and "late round scrubs" go earlier than planned, right? GTFOH.

That's kinda my point though. It's all a matter of opinion and individual evaluation. Which is why it's stupid to blast a pick because "the experts" (who continually prove they know jack s***) have the player rated a round or two later. Bottom line is this whole thing is a crapshoot. And not Mike Mayock, or Mel Kiper, or Ruston Webster, or even the great Deuce Wayne know for sure how any of these guys are going to pan out.

I was joking, except for the part about needing a replacement for Warmack.

The big thing is that the job of a talking head is not on the line if they are wrong. Unlike NFL personal people.

And people who watch a few highlight clips on YouTube and pretend to be some sort of talent evaluater make me laugh. "I'll watch the tape" like you know what a NFL caliber scout is looking for and how certain things translate to certain teams and schemes and coaches preferences etc. I'm sure it's a lot more complicated than watching youtube clips
