I wouldn't say the steelers "didn't have an answer for him" ... I would say that Tebow played "mistake free" and his team kept it close until the end, when Tebow made a big play to seal the win.

But Prior to that 80 yd TD pass in overtime, Tebow was 9/20 passing (45%) 236 yards ... not great stats by any means

He also had 50 rushing yards that game

What the Steelers really didn't have an answer for that game was the DEN defense ... Big Ben only completed 55% of his passes (22/30), threw an int, and was sacked 5 times.

The Den D is what won that game for them. Tebow just didn't do anything dumb, and made a couple of good plays to squeak out a win (there is nothing wrong with that, but lets give the credit where it is due)

That's kinda what I was getting at. He has won games in this league and that playoff game was a huge one. Despite not having great (or even good) mechanics, I think he has a little bit of that "it factor". And if I'm in a position where I'm relying on my backup to win games I'd rather he have the it factor than necessarily sound mechanics.

I mean, look at this list NFL - Players - Yahoo Sports. I'd rather have Tebow on my roster over several of those guys.

Tim Tebow is a great impromptu QB. What sets him apart from being a Johnny Manziel is his size. Vince Young also had this to his benefit.

You can be a good QB if you have this trait, Id say its one of this biggest things you look for in a QB. The problem for these 3 names I brought up is coaches HATE what they can't plan for. Aaron Rodgers is also a good QB like that, but he fixed his mechanics and had time to fine tune his game, maybe since we've last seen Tebow he's done the same..?

If a coach chose to fully commit to Tebow, he stands a chance to be good. I actually like this signing for the Eagles, if anyone can squeeze something out of Tebow its Chip Kelly.

This guy hasn't played a 'game' since 2012, and that is sugarcoating it.

absence from the game will hurt quite a bit, but he hasn't gotten too far from football, he's always been beating on the door to get back in

Im pretty sure he's stayed busy staying in shape, and he was a guy who needed to reinvent his game, he needed the break.

But yea its been a while so odds aren't in his favor.

he is way too slow to be a good receiving te and it is too late to learn to be a good blocker.
