Jaws thinks Mariota is going #1

    Mett didn't exactly play with a cast of scrubs at LSU, so because of that, Id say no he wouldn't be as coveted as Winston, not with what he had and what he did there..

    Now if youre asking if Mett won a NC, then sure, but he didn't.

    Adam scheffler is saying the same thing... Winston Vs LW Vs trading back. Assuming MM Does go #1, This just makes me more confused at what I want #2 lol..

    Jameis Winston would be what we needed, plays within the confines of an NFL system, would be an instant upgrade at QB.

    As much as I like Mariota, there will without a doubt be a learning curve, how long will this set him back? Not sure, could be 4-5 weeks, could be 4-5 months.

    Winston here makes me excited, NFL arm, NFL personality, he's a guy we could move forward with immediately. Has just enough mobility to cover up this lousy OLine we have, its all just a matter of can we trust him not to be a fool outside in public....

    Absolutely.
    Big difference between Mett being thrown to the wolves halfway through a season on a team as wretched as The Titans vs Winston being an INT machine on a top-four college team against questionable opposition. Winston should have thrown zero INTs.
    No first year QB is going to excel at QB on last year's Titans and so I don't know why people keep using that as a measuring stick..

    Of course they would, because he is a great QB. But why would we not take Winston if that is the case?

    If you do not think Winston or Mariota will be good and want to pass them over that is one thing. But if this team passes one of them over mainly because they are convinced Mett will be great then Mett better work out to be just that.

    Yeah, FSU's impenetrable offensive line probably hid an even deeper propensity to throw INTs. It could be real bad against NFL speed with a under-performing Titans line. Dumping short passes under heavy pressure is definitely not Winston's forte

    If Winston is there we have to take him, no question about it! He comes from a pro style offense, with a great football IQ. yes of course he has had off the field issues but in actuality their pretty minor outside of the rape case. He's well worth the risk, and we need to stop the comparisons to VY. Their two totally different types of QBs. Winston is a pass first pocket QB, with alot better throwing motion.
